Above the clouds, Fly Flatts.

                                    Pied Wagtails breeding
                                    Still several Wheatear

                                    8 Ringed Plover now present
                                    sev Sand Martins through
Wheatear not happy with Ringed Plover

A strange weather morning with Queensbury in thick fog along with most of the journey , only to find Fly Flatts clear with good visibility with thick cloud above and below. A light S>2 brought a few showers at a warm 9 degrees.
Hirundines were the birds of the morning with Sand Martin, House Martin and Swallows piling through all >S and all low over the water. Yesterdays Dunlin had moved on leaving 8 Ringed Plover, 5 Common Sandpiper and a single Redshank whilst at least 12 Wheatear were present around the shoreline. Next wader due should be Sanderling closely followed by Turnstone if they follow last years plan.
Forecast for tomorrow is about the same as today.
