Back to Fly Flatts, (permit only).

                                          2 of 4 noisy Raven
The lonely Black Headed gull which seems to have taken
up residence at this site. Possibly sick but feeding and flying ok.

A decent morning weather wise at Fly Flatts with full cloud cover, after a short red ball sunrise, on a W>3 bringing light rain at 5 degrees.
Still very quiet but an improvement on yesterdays one bird visit.
A group of 28 Mallard dropped onto the water, arriving from Dean Head reservoir where they roost, but nothing else on the water.
Most of the activity took place over the Nab with 4 noisy Ravens being constantly mobbed by 8 Crows whilst a Buzzard soared high above them.
A single 1st winter Herring gull headed >NW whilst the resident Black Headed gull was still present.
Another trek on the west bank searching for Snow Buntings failed to come up with the goods, but one of these days !!!!
