A day off from birding

With a full day of thick fog on the tops and low dark cloud below it certainly was,nt a day for gull watching at Leeshaw with driving drizzle on a moderate E>3. Even the gulls in Foxhill Park, what you could see of them, were squat down on the football pitch heads into the wind and drizzle.
Just one report of  the sound of Pinkie contact calls heading >W over Gt Horton this morning but otherwise all quiet. Hopefully the colder spell forecast will get rid of the fog over the weekend.
That just leaves me to say a very Merry Christmas to all my viewers and many thanks for all the e mails and texts I receive with reports, comments and queries. I hope you all have a good weekend then get out birding to walk off the excess eating and drinking.
                                                  All the best, Brian
