A return visit to Mixenden Reservoir.

All Common and Black Headed gulls today

1st Ring Necked Parakeet seen at this site since March.

A bright and sunny afternoon but the sun was down by 1430 hrs leaving very poor light.
A cool NW>3 was blowing turning W>2 at 3 degrees.
The water was very quiet with around 40 BH gull and 18 Common gull
but only 1 first and 1 second winter Herring which soon left. A Grey and a Pied Wagtail were the only other birds present.
Across the road a single male Ring Necked Parakeet was mixed in with Starlings in the usual area although this is my first sighting since March in this area.
Got the car back on the road this evening so hopefully things will be back to normal.
