Pinks and Goldies on the move, Fly Flatts. (no public access)

                                  103 Pink Footed geese >E
Way to the south of me possibly over Halifax.

                                                  1 of 3 Raven
A good count of 9 Stonechat present

1 of 5 juv Herring gull

                                    Herring on the north shore

Golden Plover piling through p.m. >SE

10 well camouflaged on the distant south shore.

A good clear morning with a N>2 turning NW then W and moving to SW>4 by late afternoon.
Visibility was good until 0930 hrs when the wind got to the west bringing in the mist and drizzle from the moor but still enough sky showing to continue the watch.
The late afternoon watch started off with fog patches but lifted to a hazy low cloud base.
A good start off with a skein of 103 Pinkies >E but well to the south of my position whilst several more reports over Halifax were too far to the south of my air space and out of sight to me, probably moved that way for clearer skies.
Again, a good variety of species through with Redwings in the afternoon but all >NW bounce backs whilst Golden Plover were piling through from the NW heading >SE in groups of up to 10 with a total count of 205 plus 10 that dropped down onto the south bank.
Nice to see a small group of 9 Stonechat moving around from the track through the boat compound but no sign of them this afternoon.
Looking like a wet morning tomorrow, hopefully with no fog.
