                                          1 of 7 Stonechat.

Fly Flatts a.m. with a very low cloud base and several fog banks moving through playing havoc with the vis mig watch but still a good variety of species counted as well as a skein of noisy Pinkies over >W but unseen in the cloud.
Late afternoon was clear with the wind strengthening and turning from SW>4 to S>5 bringing black clouds and heavy drizzle showers which the gulls seemed to enjoy with a good number moving through and several down on the north bank and islands where 15 Greylag had taken up residence.
At least 7 Stonechat were near the entrance track where 15 Magpies and 4 Raven were squabbling over something on the moor.
Many thanks to KM for his interesting and informative comments by e mail on yesterdays gull sp. Keith has had 2 Caspians as well as hybrids at Redcar Tarn this year so far and says there are several Yellow Legged Herrings around.
