Back to the peace and quiet of Fly Flatts. (no public access)

7 Tufted back on the water.
                                              Black Redstart still present

                                              1 of 6 Wheatear

Another day of blue skies and sunshine not helping the job although there was a nice cool NW >4 blowing both morning and afternoon keeping the temperature more pleasant.
Meadow pipits were moving well throughout the watch easing by 0900 hrs then a second wave coming through with still a trickle during the late afternoon watch.
Still no Pink Footed geese over although HC rang me with a small skein of 10 heading west but too far to the north for me to pick up. Once again the shoreline was awash with grounded Mipits before they also moved off SW.
Tufted ducks were back on the water with 7 present throughout the day, an unusual sight for here whilst a charm of 38 Goldfinch were mobile on the thistle tops.
Another stop off at the Black Redstart site on the way home this morning soon found the bird on and around the farm roof.
Plenty Pipistrelle bats over foxhill park tonight on the edge of dark.
