Another wet and windy day, another wader, Fly Flatts.

Another new arrival this afternoon, Ringed Plover.

Another day of good moving conditions though the morning watch was slightly hampered by a low cloud base which gave visibility over the water but only as high as the Nab. A brisk SW>4 kept visibility whilst heavy drizzle showers were moving through throughout both watches.
Hirundines were moving south early a.m. all low skimming over the water. Several of the Swallows were juvs whilst a late Sand Martin was a surprise.
The south shore and ponds were alive with Meadow Pipits whilst at least 11 Wheatear were ground hopping at Nolstar.
The afternoon watch was quieter with just a few Swallows moving through whilst
an adult Ringed Plover had appeared way out on the south shoreline.
Back up at the top gate a Wheatear was on a distant wall with all the characteristic's of a Greenland but by the time I,d grabbed the bins and camera out of the car it had dropped out of sight so I,ll have to let that one go.
Good to have a word with DF and NCD at the top gate as they headed out into the wilderness and good to see Nick Carter has started his vis mig watch on his home site at Hunmanby Gap, see Trektellen, . Its got to be better than when I was doing Cold Edge and he was doing Luddenden both stood in the fog most Sunday mornings.
