Another day, another empty camera. Fly Flatts / Mixenden reservoir.

A brighter day but the usual black clouds over Fly Flatts by the time I arrived there at 1500 hrs with just 3/4 hour daylight remaining to check the west bank end to end and get some seed down.
Visibility was good with a SW>4 bringing a few specs of light rain.
A single Teal was on the water under the east bank along with 48 Mallard whilst 8 Herring gulls headed >W and 11 LBBs >NW but all high up and ignoring the water.
A single Raven was being harassed by 2 Carrion Crows over the Nab and the unusual sighting of a distant Jay over the moor heading for Castle Carr.
One of the Stonechats had returned to the feeding station briefly before disappearing into the heather on the edge of the moor.
A quick check on Mixenden Reservoir in passing produced 1 female Goosander and 1 female Goldeneye with several small gulls just leaving and heading for the Oxenhope roost.
The Rowans in Sainsburys Halifax today just held a few Redwing and Blackbirds with good crops of berries waiting for the Waxwings.
