A bright sunny start but short lived with fog rolling in from the east and remaining till early afternoon before clearing only to roll in again late afternoon.
A customer, dog walker reported today of 8 Cormorant on a foggy shoreline at Ogden mid morning probably brought down by the fog, also a Dipper briefly in the duck feeding corner.
Several reports now of Wheatears moving up country as far as the midlands and Wales so we should be getting our first locals by the weekend if the dreaded fog clears up.
Nothing doing around the village today and if there had have been I would,nt have seen it for the fog anyway.
Nice to see HC at the garage today who had planned a bit of birding whilst I did his motor but unfortunately the fog got the better of him so he had to settle for a wander round the village instead.
