Queensbury Tawny at Dusk
All photos courtesy the garden owner
The only problem with these amazing photo,s is that
I didnt take them.
The 2 Tawny Owls that roost in a local Queensbury garden come out from their Ivy clad tree each evening on the edge of dark and sit out in the open before moving off for a night hunting as darkness falls.
This evening only one bird was present but the alert garden owner spied it and took a hoard of amazing photos, some of which are shown above.
Unfortunately he remains nameless to protect the welfare of the roosting birds which have been present for many years now, only leaving in the breeding period though no juveniles have yet been seen.
Many thanks for the stonking photos, wish I,d taken them !
