Just when you thought it was all over !

                             Chapel Lane top 0740 hrs.
Coming thick and fast       0800 hrs

                   Main road starting to cover

                                           Showers like this all a.m.
Gritters should be out tomorrow if the weather improves.

A good morning for the bodyshop boys today with crashed cars littering the village and no sign of gritters till pm when the snow stopped.
A double decker bus was through the wall at Swalesmoor whilst there were at least 5 shunts through the village.
By afternoon things had calmed down leaving bright skies full of feeding small gulls and Starling flocks then heavy freezing by dark.
Walking home this evening at last light a Sparrowhawk whistled over my head and through the Chapel Lane graveyard narrowly missing a Blackbird which gave off an alarm call and dropped into a Holly bush whilst the Sparrowhawk continued on over the houses in search of another target.
Its suppose to be milder mid week but don,t hold your breath, we,ve had snow in May in Queensbury.
As the old Queensbury saying goes, " Ne,er cast a clout till May is out".
