Jackdaws choosing their nest sites

Every spring Jackdaws attempt to nest build under the flat
stone up on the chimney stack high above the garage.

Every year they give up and move on
There must be a way under here somewhere ?

As usual for Monday a bright clear, sunny start with ground frost but this deteriorated mid morning with a strong WSW>5 and rain showers.
The Soil Hill Snow Bunting remained on site throughout the day DJS, NK, but the Mixenden Gadwall had moved on, DJS. It just shows how easy it is to miss passing birds. It was only by chance that I went to Mixenden yesterday otherwise it would have gone through undetected, I wonder how many megas we miss through the area?
A customer, dog walker reported at least 10 Cormorants on the water at Ogden today, early morning whilst NK had a Shelduck over the area, see NKs report.
