Soil Hill late afternoon

                                    Plenty Skylarks on the hill
                                       NK pond all quiet.
Soil Hill  1600-1730hrs, cold WSW>4 Blue skies and sunshine.

What looked like ideal skies for movement turned out to be a disappointment with just a few corvids and around a dozen LBB gulls heading from TMR towards Eccup to roost.
New birds in were apparent with up to 14 Skylark and 25 Meadow Pipit all feeding in the newly muck spread field near the NK pond whilst c80 Lapwings were down on the Shay area along with large numbers
of corvids, mainly Jackdaws, but no Goldies.
Plenty thick smoke on the horizon with the Grouse killers burning off the moors near to Cold Edge Dams and Fly Flatts.
Hopefully Ill have something better to report from Fly Flatts in the morning.
