Queensbury lost in Snow and Fog.

The Waxwing tree today, in the fog and snow.
                                          Frozen Berries

A real winters day up here in the gods with continuous snow and thick fog until 1530hrs when it finally stopped snowing and the fog lifted.
Thanks to NK for giving Foxhill a good Waxwing check in lousy conditions this morning with negative results and I checked the area midday and after work this evening but no sightings.
One thing I did find on my way back to work was a load of red berry juice bird droppings under a tree in the snow at the top of Chapel Lane proving that the Waxwings had been in the area at some point during the morning.
As I got nearer work I thought I wish Id taken a photo to put on the blog but there was a few people around and if word gets out I was seen bent down taking photos of bird poo people will start crossing the road when they see me coming.
Good news today with another report of a single Whooper Swan at Ogden this a.m. ( Calderbirds).
