Entrance to Soil Hill
The Mounds
Dunlin Pond.
Soil Hill 1500-1545hrs SW>5 Heavy drizzle.
A last light dash gave me just over 30 minutes to scour the top of the hill for Snow Buntings but none to be found.
Covered the east and west summit and the mounds area without sight or sound of a bird of any description walking in now, hazardous conditions, with every footstep sinking ankle deep now that the frost has thawed and left soft mud.
Just to save the trip 3 LBB gulls went overhead towards TMR and 9 Fieldfare headed for Ogden, probably to roost. Back down on the road near the track a Little Owl was calling beyond the small plantation in the now near dark.
Got a good supply of Nyjer seed spread in various spots around the Dunlin pond.
