Not for the faint hearted, Leeshaw Reservoir.

                                    Mostly a gull morning

With thick mist on the tops it was a divert to Leeshaw in a moderate to strong SSW>5 with constant rain and drizzle throughout at 13 degrees. Conditions were good for something maritime coming through but that never happened.
First bird was an adult Yellow Legged Herring gull on the shore with LBBs but gone by the time I got out of the car. Plenty LBBs and Black Headed on the shore and surrounding muck spread fields with others moving through >W.
Around 30 Lapwing present along with 2 Cormorant and a few Mallard whilst around 100 mixed Canada and Greylags were in the big field. Otherwise, just down to the usual species.
Cloudy sunshine for morning with possible showers and still a strong westerly though less than todays gale which had a measurement on the Queensbury Beaufort Scale as ' Nobbut a stiff breeze' and a ' good drying day f t'weshing'. A bit cooler starting off at 10 degrees.
