1 of 2 juv Lapwing
Adult close-by.
At least 8 Wheatear present.
A very windy morning at Fly Flatts on a WSW>5 gusting 6 but bright and clear with patchy sunshine at 12 degrees.
Only waders present were an adult Lapwing with 2 fledged juvs on the south shore whilst at least 8 Wheatear were very mobile around the SE corner.
Most of the Canada geese have now gone leaving around 50 and 4 Greylags whilst the female Tufted and 4 young are still present waiting for them to fledge. Just 7 LBB and 3 Black Headed gulls were present on the north shore along with 4 Kestrels on the mud.
Very few Mipits at the moment, still waiting for the next wave to move in, and most of the juv Pied Wagtails have left the area, as well as most of the Goldfinch, the latter being in a large flock by the Withins.
Another 3 Wheatear were by the Withins Head farm as well as a pair of Stonechat and a few Mipits.
Another windy day tomorrow with a moderate SW turning W with cloudy sunshine at 13 degrees.
