Horrendous conditions this morning at Fly Flatts with a strong to near gale force WSW>6 gusting 7 with continuous showers ranging from heavy drizzle to torrential rain at 10 degrees.
Near impossible conditions this morning with visibility constantly blanked out with the heavy showers blown horizontally over the water. The only hardy birds found were 3 Wheatear and a single Stonechat as well as a few Mipits.
LBB and Black Headed gulls were moving over >W into the wind. By 0930 hrs it was abandon ship and head for home.
Cloudy sunshine and dry for tomorrow on a light Sou'westerly at 12 degrees.
