                                Grey Wagtail below the promenade

                                    NW corner
                                    Early morn.

                                Several Blackbirds
                                        1 of 2 Song Thrush

A decent start to the morning despite a cold W>3 at 1 degree with broken cloud and sunshine. Cloud started to come over from the west bringing heavy snow showers late morning but nothing really settling.
A full circuit of the water failed to turn up anything special and no sound of Chiffchaff as yet. I had 5 here last year on the 16th. Great Spotted Woodpeckers were out in force with 3 separate birds drumming but remaining unseen in the deep wood.
The west bank was very quiet with just Blackbirds, Dunnock, Robin and Great Tit with the best of the activity being in the lower car park area with Lt Tits, Bullfinch and Song Thrush.
A single Grey Wagtail was below the promenade whilst the water just held a handful of Black Headed gull and 4 Commons. The law of averages says something must turn up at Ogden soon.
Back at Foxhill, dog walking, a flock of c 20 Goldfinch are regular in the Alders in the Pineberry Inn car park.
Raggalds Flood is like a lake at the moment with around 40 small gulls and 6 Mallard this afternoon.
