Fly Flatts/Ogden, I,ve had better days

Fly Flatts a.m. suffered from the moderate to strong SW > 4-5 with broken cloud, some sun, along with drizzle and low, fast moving scud cloud.
It must have been the birding Bank Holiday today with just 5 birds seen throughout the watch, which is unbelievable, even for Fly Flatts. With 2 Tufted on the water, a single LBB >SE, 1 Raven and 1 crow with not another bird of any description.
A mid afternoon check on Ogden, in an attempt to save the day, was a little livelier but only through concentrating on small passerines after a quick look through the small amount of gulls.
Only 7 LBB, 2 Herring and around 40 small gulls were present so a walk around the perimeter to check out passerine alley with several Yellow Browed Warblers turning up in the country.
A good flock of mixed Goldcrest, Great and Long Tailed Tit were moving through the waterside trees as well as several Chaffinch but no Brambling as yet and no, long overdue, YB Warbler.
This was the last sighting of YB Warbler way back 10 yrs to 29th/30th Sept 2012.
                                        Photos, B.S.
