Tons of Hawthorn berries for the Redwing and Fieldfare when
they arrive and get established
Looking across to Shipley Glen and Baildon Moor.A very blustery day with a moderate SW>4 turning W>5 gusting 6 with bright skies and sunshine.
A wander over Foxhill early morn found 42 Common gulls in the park as well as 2 Pied Wagtail whilst 18 Redwing flew over low >SW looking as if they came up from Queensbury station where they tend to roost along with Fieldfare each winter.
Early afternoon and a check on the sky over the Aire Valley from the Dailie Fields just found a few Herring, Common and LBB gulls with several Woodpigeons and Stock Doves heading in no particular direction.
The Hawthorns held 3 Meadow Pipits plus several Goldfinch as well as Blue, Great and Coal Tit whilst a Sparrowhawk soared high up in the distance along with a Buzzard. Blackbirds were enjoying the berries along with 2 Mistle Thrush.
Birding with no car is like being back in lock down.
