Leeshaw Reservoir, worse weather, better birds.

                                            Five minute sunrise in Queensbury.
Had to be quick to get the lens on it before it clouded over.
A good count of Greylag back at Leeshaw.

One of each. Pink Footed, Canada, Greylag.
Just the one Pink Footed present
                                          Drake Goosander, female nearby.

The pair of Stonechats turned up again today.

                                             Single Cormorant
                                              2 Curlew present.

A very wet and windy morning at Leeshaw with a SW>5 and light rain at 4 degrees. The wind and rain was constantly increasing throughout the watch.
Despite this, and as seems to be the pattern, birds were more plentiful with comings and goings throughout the time I was there.
A large flock of Greylag were in the south field along with a few Canadas and Mallard plus a single Pink Footed goose. Four Stock Dove were also in the field along with 3 Oystercatchers, the latter being very mobile.
The water held around 100 small gulls as well as a single Cormorant and a pair of Goosander, all the small gulls were checked through for Meds but to no avail.
Small passerines comprised of  Dipper, Meadow Pipits and a pair of Stonechat along with a large flock of Starlings. The 2 Little Owl seem settled now in their usual spot though keep getting pestered with Magpies.
A quick check of Mixenden reservoir mid p.m. just held a few small gulls and a pair of Mallard.
