Leeshaw a.m./ snow p.m.

A rise in Canada goose numbers today
                                                       Curlews up in bad light

Only 2 Black Headed gulls present today.
The scene at Queensbury mid afternoon.

                                                           Whiteout at Foxhill.

Breezy to say the least at Leeshaw early morn with a moderate W>5  at 4 degrees with heavy showers of rain ,hail and sleet in poor light conditions.
Strangely quiet on the gulls today with just 2 Black Headeds dropping briefly onto the water and none to be found in the fields. Canadas today replaced Greylags with a count of 39 but only a single Greylag. BV arrived at the reservoir and reported that there are now 2 Pink Footed geese in with the Greylags seen by him yesterday.
A pair of Dippers were down in the beck showing signs of displaying whilst the 2 Little Owl were in the same position as usual.
A group of 8 Curlew came in from the east landing in a distant field with another 4 over >E, whilst the Lapwing flock, of now over 50 birds, was very mobile throughout. Just 4 Mipits present today.
Mid afternoon saw some heavy snow showers that started to look serious so I abandoned the afternoon session although the snow fizzled out by tea time.
