Fly Flatts, Fogged Off

                                     As good as it got

Impossible to even check the water

                                        SW corner
                                  Banking to nowhere
                                    Old feeding station

             Meadow Pipit through the murk
                      Fogged out Wheatears

This butch, long legged Wheatear stood out from the rest.
              Probable Greenland sp.

Fly Flatts  0630 - 0900 hrs  Dense fog throughout.

When I wished for a grey morning I didnt mean so grey that I could,nt see the water from stood on the banking. Visibility was down to a few yards with heavy drizzle throughout.
7 Wheatear were present with one contender for a Greenland being much larger and brighter than the others with noticeably long legs. 10 Meadow Pipits were blogging along the banking whilst around 20 Greylags flushed out of the fog on the west banking and disappeared over the water but due to the fog I couldnt tell if they came down or flew on.
And that was it, apart from a chat with DB by the gate wandering about like a lost soul wondering where to try next.
Oh well, its another weeks wait now to try again.
