Fly Flatts flop.

Decent conditions with full cloud cover on a light ENE>2 at 7 degrees and good visibility.
Being a glutton for punishment I gave Fly Flatts another chance to produce in the good conditions but once again it failed me.
A single male Blackbird was unusual in the compound as I arrived so a quick jump out of the car, bins and camera in hand, with thoughts of Ring Ouzel, but as it appeared from between the boats is was just a British male Blackbird, probably a mover.
From there it was all downhill with a flock of 12 Meadow Pipits >SW plus 2 Stonechat and 3 Reed Bunting whilst the water held 3 Canadas and 1 LBB gull.
Once again, this site has dried up since the end of August and unlikely to pick up now until the end of February. Looking back at last years records I had very little of interest at this site during November and December so looking like I will have to turn my attention to mainly Ogden in hopes of some decent wildfowl on the water and a few decent species in the trees with Siskin, Redpoll, Brambling, Firecrest and Yellow Browed Warbler, you've got to stay optimistic.
More cloud for morning on a very light westerly at 8 degrees.
