NOTE !!
No sightings of Roe Deer, Fox, Hare or Badger will be mentioned on this blog throughout the year and links will be removed from other blogs giving the whereabouts of these mammals due to the rising influx of poaching, long dogging and lamping by sick individuals.

Fly Flatts

                                  1 of 4 female Wheatear

A turn up for the books, 2 Snipe.

Pied Wags breeding again this year
                                    5 Oystercatchers present.

A slightly milder morning at Fly Flatts on a light SE>3 at 6 degrees with full cloud and light rain throughout.
A bit livelier morning with the rare sighting of 2 Snipe over >E, not a species easily found at this site anymore. More Wheatear were new in with 4 females present around the south shore whilst 7 Redshank were present, mainly around the peninsular area.
Oystercatchers were up to 5 and several Curlew were over the eastern ridge. A steady flow of LBB and Herring gull were moving high overhead all NE but otherwise just down to Meadow Pipits and the usual corvids and Lapwings etc.
Todays rain will soften the fields just in time for Golden Plover and Dotterel at Nolstar, well you've to be optimistic!!
A cloudy morning tomorrow with a threat of rain on a moderate easterly at 7 degrees.
