Fly Flatts

                                    2 of 5 Redshank

                                    Single female Wheatear

                                    1 pair Tufted present.

Pleasant conditions at Fly Flatts after overnight rain which was just enough to sleck the dust stopping the clouds of dust blowing around. A light E>3 at 6 degrees with full cloud and good visibility.
Unfortunately the birding was'nt as pleasant with a bit of a poor do, keeping up the lull at this site.
Just a single female Wheatear  present along with a low count of Meadow Pipits. Waders were still down to 4 Oystercatchers and 5 Redshank, along with Curlews and Lapwings whilst 2 Snipe >E over the Flat Moor was a bonus with this species now a rare sight both here and Leeshaw.
A pair of Tufted were on the water, possibly the Ogden pair, whilst several Canada, Greylags and Mallards are sitting eggs. The Mute Swan was still on Mixenden reservoir as I drove past.
A mixed bag of weather for tomorrow with a forecast of fog, rain and strong to gale force SE turning SW. Hopefully it will bring something through with target birds now Little Gull, Osprey and Tern sp. as well as waders.
