An icy cold Leeshaw reservoir.

                                    Several Fieldfare present

An icy track to the moor
                                    A wintry scene
                                    TMR on the horizon.

An icy cold wind at Leeshaw this morning at S>4 even though the temp was up to minus 2 degrees, 2 degrees higher than yesterday, with a thawing wind throughout the rest of the day. Full dark cloud, lightening somewhat mid watch.
A mega quiet morning being the quietest I,ve had for some time at this site.
Around 100 small gulls very mobile around the few fields that were clear of snow but none on or around the reservoir which held just a few Mallard along with 2 Greylags.
Several Fieldfare and Starling were in the fields whilst 2 Kestrel were checking out the area.
Hopefully, with temperatures keeping above freezing tonight, the tracks to Fly Flatts and Leeshaw will soon be passable.
