Well you can,t have every day good.

 Another hot sticky morning with a very light SE>2 breeze at 18 degrees at Fly Flatts with deep haze over the moor. Hopefully today is the last of the hot,dry stuff.
                        Despite the weather conditions being very much like yesterday morning the birding could,nt have been  more of a contrast with not a wader to be found and nothing in the air.
                      A count of 9 Wheatear on the shore  plus c 150 BH gull and 2 LBBs on the water and that was it apart from the usual species.
                   I thought I,d done well with a Red Kite over yesterday until I got a text reporting I.H. had a Honey Buzzard over Keighley Moor yesterday. My last, and possibly only, local Honey Buzzard was on vis mig watch at TMR with HC and DCB a mere 22 years ago, 1/10/2000.
