FLY FLATTS Stonechat, 1 of 3.
Single Common Sandpiper
Wheatears moving through
Little Ringed Plover still over on the north mud.
Sparrowhawk harassing the Meadow Pipits.
Several gulls over in the NW corner.
No change in the weather at Fly Flatts this morning with wall to wall sunshine at 18 degrees by 0730 hrs and just a dribble of an E>1 breeze.
Gulls were the main feature today with a good count of LBBs and Black Headed over in the NW corner but nothing special among them as far as I could see through the scope, as it was again, too hot to walk the west bank.
A few surprises with the Little Ringed Plover still present along with a Common Sandpiper whilst 7 Teal were on the water. Three Stonechat were near the compound whilst 2 Grey Partridge were unexpected visitors.
Hopefully a bit brisker east breeze tomorrow.
