Leeshaw Reservoir

A damp morning at Leeshaw with light rain on a S>4 which increased to S>6 and heavy rain by 0930 hrs. The heavy rain then continued throughout the day bringing fog up here in Queensbury by early afternoon.
The one and a half hours birding I got in before the weather changed was reasonable with a starter of a single female Wigeon on the far bank in with the gulls. A good number of Black Headeds were on the shore along with a few Commons and LBBs but again no Herring present.
A female Goosander and 2 Cormorants were on the water along with 6 Mallard but nothing moving in the sky other than 6 separate Greylag geese very high and >E.
With the early clear skies I expected a few Pinks over but I,ve had none so far this autumn.
