More Pink Footed geese >E

Yet another decent morning at Fly Flatts with clear skies but cloud to the far west on a NW>3 at 7 degrees. Some sunshine through the fractus clouds.
Once again Pink Footed Geese stole the show with 4 skeins over , again to the distant south of me all heading >E with 2 large skeins and 2 smaller ones, totaling 613 geese.
Woodpigs are starting to hot up now with moving numbers rising until they build up to fantastic flocks filling the sky and denoting vis mig coming to an end, these being the last main species to leave.
Lapwing, and LBB gulls were on the move as well as Jackdaws whilst the last dregs of Meadow Pipits are still trickling through, these being late breeders and birds from the far North.
Very little on the water and deck with just a a few Canada Geese and BH gulls on the water along with Stonechat and Raven present plus the usual Grouse and Corvids.
Once again, by 0930 hrs all was quiet.
Mixenden , mid afternoon ,was terribly poor with 2 BH gull, 1 Common gull and 1 LBB gull and that was it. Although quiet at the moment it should be producing the first Goldeneye shortly, around the 22nd of the month.
