                  Plenty Swifts over Queensbury p.m.

Another of those hot days with the photographers nightmare, heat shimmer . A light SW>4 made it a little more pleasant but with the ponds drying out now, not to mention my water butt and garden, we need some rain.
A lively morning again with a good supply of Ringed Plovers , Dunlin and Common Sandpipers with the pair of Teal still hanging round as well as a visit from a Barnacle goose.
An alarm call from a Common Sand in the boat yard made me spin round just in time to see a Cuckoo disappearing over the lagoon but not to be relocated.
Several Swifts were heading >N over Queensbury during the afternoon.
