More Ringed Plover pics I,m afraid but running out of options.
Stunt driver. Not many quarry wagons loaded with
stone can take a corner on 2 wheels.
Getting it back on 4 will be a job for Stoneywood.
A pleasant morning and afternoon watch with a light west turning southwest then back west late afternoon with full cloud cover a.m. and 80% p.m. with a hint of sunshine.
Still playing the waiting game for waders with plenty to watch but no newcomers. An hour watching the east bank this afternoon found it alive with 11 Common Sandpipers plus 4 juvs as well as 5 Redshank, 1 Ringed Plover and the usual Lapwings and Curlews.
Only 63 big gulls present today, mostly LBBs, but this afternoon 2 Black Headed were in with them which is unusual.
Away from the water 3 Raven flew over a.m. being mobbed by Curlews whilst a family group of 6 came over p.m. disappearing over the Flat Moor. A Sparrowhawk went over high and >SE and 3 Kestrels were hovering over the moor.
Good to see the cavalry arrive this morning with JM and AT scoping from the top road.
A north wind forecast for tomorrow so see if that improves anything.
A good find this morning at Leeshaw reservoir for DP who came across a Little Egret.
