A quick shufty at Ogden

A full timetable this afternoon with town shopping then just one hour spare before a vet appointment, for the dog that is, not me, although the fellow who,s car I condemned on the MOT this morning would probably like to see me put down.
This only left me time for a check of Ogden  with a walk along the east bank to the bridge and back, which I knew would probably get me nothing but wound up, did just that and the thoughts of getting a few of my first Warblers of the year soon became obvious that it was,nt going to happen.
Conditions were good for passerines with sunshine and sheltered from the W>4 but no warbler of any description was showing or singing and the only birds throughout the visit were 1 Robin, 1 Carrion Crow, 1 Wren and a few Mallard and Canadas plus 1 LBB gull.
With plenty disturbance and a throbbing neck I headed for home and dreams of returning to the wide open spaces and peacefulness of Fly Flatts.
