The yellow ringed bird.
An early start at Fly Flatts found it very still on a N>2 with 100 % light cloud cover, perfect weather conditions for a moving Osprey but that never developed.
One of those visits where you didnt know where to look next with birds everywhere but hard work as most were a bin job at distance.
Wheatears are still slow coming with just 2 distant females and no sign of Ring Ouzel which was surprising given the numbers that are around although all my Ouzels up here have been autumn birds so a spring bird would be a first.
I expected Swallow in the calm conditions but I had to wait until the journey home for one feeding over Bradshaw. Otherwise it was the usual species but a good 2 hour up there without getting wet , cold or blown away.
