Cold Edge Dams, / Raggalds Flood.

1 of 2 LBB gulls Cold Edge

                                                        1pr Tufted
Kestrel hiding in a tree top.
                                       Plenty Meadow Pipits present
          2 Oystercatchers amongst the Canadas.
Raggalds Flood, a site first for me, Tufted duck
                                                      Still 4 Redshank present.

1430 hrs at Cold Edge dams in a torrential rain shower which luckily soon passed over leaving light rain on a SE >4 throughout. Plenty bird life about but still no Common Sandpiper and no Wheatear which are making a slow return this year probably hanging back with the poor weather.
A single Willow Warbler started singing in the plantation but was soon moved on by a female Chaffinch. Wader wise there were 3 Redshank, 2 Oystercatchers and 4 Curlew present whilst the Pink Footed Goose in the compound is still there showing that we can now safely pass it off as a domesticated hybrid.
A stop off at Raggalds Flood on the way back got me a site tick with a drake Tufted duck on the water along with a pair of Mallard, 2 Canadas and again 4 Redshank but no arrival of LRPs yet.
