2 Herring gulls, 1 ad and 1 4th summer on 1 over exposed photo.
A flying visit to Ogden late afternoon was poor in the bright sunshine bringing all the nuggets out.
A decent supply of gulls on the east bank with 43 LBBs, 2 Herring and 78 BHGs but very mobile with disturbance keep sending them onto the water. I just managed the above shot with sun in the lens before they were off again landing on the bright water where they were nearly invisible in the glare. Apologies to NK who I told these were 2 adults until I processed the picture to see the both birds are still showing some brown on the wing.
A walk around the perimeter of the water amazingly provided not 1 passerine of any description, possible moved deeper into the wood after an afternoon of disturbance though most warblers will have dispersed by now. By the time I arrived back on the prom all but 5 LBBs and around 20 BHGs had gone. Just 2 Cormorants on the water though NK had 8 earlier.
One thing about an afternoon visit to Ogden, it sure makes you appreciate the peace and tranquility of Fly Flatts.
I,ve just received the Spurn annual bird report which is truly amazing. Its the size of a telephone directory packed with page after page of reports and photos, well done to the lads over there for comprising such an issue.
