0700 hrs at Fly Flatts and a bad weather start with wall to wall hot sunshine, no breeze and swarms of midges . After 30 minutes I was ready for pulling out but luckily clouds came over the moor blanking out the sun along with a nice W>4 which cleared the midges so it was carry on birding.
All vis mig took place on route to Fly Flatts with swarms of House Martin and Swallows over Bradshaw and Illingworth with just a few Swallows over Fly Flatts.
A raptor morning with 4 species along with 2 Raven and a nice group of 8 Stonechat. Only 2 Wheatear and all quiet on the water with the usual Canadas now in small numbers
