Just time for a 20 minute sky watch from Corporal Hill this evening on the way to Shelf Moor on a calm warm evening with wall to wall blue skies.
Swifts were heading >S in good numbers along with several Swallows, once again all in migration mode, fast and direct although a few of the Swallows were tempted to try their luck feeding over the new mown fields.
Lesser Black Backed gulls were heading >NW up Shibden Valley joined by a few Black Headed.
Resident birds included Meadow Pipits, Pied Wagtails and Linnets as well as the usual pre roost corvids.
A report at work today of several Wheatears on the move over the moors near Nont Sarahs.
