Queensbury Today

Another day of hot sunshine and blue skies minimizing any chance of movers until early evening when the clouds came over bringing a drop of welcome rain. The past hour from 1900 has seen a steady flow of Lesser Black Backed and Black Headed gulls >E meaning the roost at Eccup reservoir must be building up.
Good numbers of LBBs are heading for Oxenhope on an evening now before moving off >E towards Eccup but another good month and the gulls will be starting to roost at Oxenhope with numbers rising up to 10,000 in the winter months as long as the water remains unfrozen.
2 noisy Jays were in trees down Station Road early this morning which is unusual but rather than movers they,ll be juvs from down in the station.
Plenty Swifts this evening in the dark clouds moving >S ahead of the weather front.
Thanks to the customer, blog watcher who dropped some Nyger seed off at Fly Flatts yesterday as they walked back from the bike race.
Also a big thank you to blog watchers Angela and Gary who read yesterdays blog about Lynda and kindly text me with some new ideas for food for her having been through a similar experience themselves with a close relative, its greatly appreciated and we,ll certainly be trying them out.
