Skylarks showing well today
All gathering food
Few Mipits present
Juv Meadow Pipit
Just when I said it looked as if all the skylarks had gone from Old Guy Rd a quick visit before work this morning found 6 gathering food on the cricket pitch with 2 juvs. Also present were a handful of Meadow Pipits with at least 2 juvs plus the usual Starlings.
No Wheatear as yet.
A check on Shelf Moor trailer park after tea found horses in the field getting the grass down so hopefully we can expect a Wheatear sighting shortly.
Again a steady flow of Swifts over Queensbury throughout the day all >SW and all in migration mode.
