Queensbury cloud formations

                            Bright skies over Foxhill midday
                              Over Tracys field, midday
Rain clouds moving in over Foxhill
                                             Black out
                                        Heavy shower moving off

Little Owl snapped with small camera
                                          juv Goldfinch

Another uncomfortable sweltering day despite the occasional heavy showers and S>4 breeze but some impressive cloud formations overhead.

A quick lunch time dash around Qby south found several BH gulls in the fields along with 6 Lapwing and a scattering of Meadow Pipits.
Lower numbers of Swifts are around now but still plenty Swallows and Linnets in the area.
A few Goldfinch were on thistle tops and the Little Owl was in one of its favourite perches.

With several local reports now of Med gulls and Yellow Legged Herring gulls the reservoirs are worth keeping an eye on this weekend.
