Strange dark cloud behind the trees
Foxhill yesterday evening 2100hrs
TMR gulls in the SE corner
A dry bright day with a good move of Swallows and Swifts this morning between 0615 and 0900hrs all in moving mode >S.
A quick dash to TMR this evening to check the water for visitors and with the hopes of a good Green Sandpiper photo but as I arrived a YW van was just driving passed the lagoons along with 2 dog walkers so by the time I got there all was quiet.
As a long shot I thought it could be in the quarry where conditions are good and water is holding but another blank.
The reservoir held around 300 mixed gulls with about another 100 small gulls in the SE corner up on the banking but no time to set up and scope this evening with a fence waiting to be painted at home.
On the way back a check on Raggalds Flood which is now just another field, dry and grassed over.
Plenty Pipestrelle bats over the park last night at around 2115hrs.
