Redshank and Dunlin on the Raggalds flood
Time to move it on a bit
Putting up with each other
Apart from the distance and the weather seeing past the cows is a problem.
Well done to NK for getting out in the howling wind today and picking up either another or the same Dunlin as last week on the Raggalds flood. The Redshank didnt seem to mind the Dunlin in its space although it did keep chasing it along the shore.
The NW>6-7 was howling and Keith Moir who was present didnt seem too impressed with the Queensbury weather as there was a blinding hail storm at the time.
Also present on the flood was a single Lapwing, 1f Wheatear and several Swallows.
Thanks for the text Nigel.
A report today of another moving Buzzard with one seen yesterday morning around 1000hrs over the south of the village soaring round and lifting very high to lose mobbing corvids.
This bird was seen and kindly reported to me by John Creber and Dylan Downes, well spotted lads, keep em coming.
