The sky last night over Foxhill
A bright ,warm day with some cloud but remaining dry.
A good number of Swifts this evening moving >S over Foxhill park which seems to be a continuation of yesterdays movement. Not sure if these birds are feeding parties moving through or an early movement >S of non breeders.
A report yesterday by text from David at Yeadon showing Gt Crested Grebe nesting on the tarn there, a bird we seem to have lost from Ogden. Having said that 2 were reported there today by DJS, Calderbirds but unlikely to stay, unlike a few years ago when Grebes were always present on the water, summer and winter.
A second brood of noisy Starlings are now around the park but as I,m banned from putting anything out on the feeders that may attract Starlings bombarding her washing the park is where they,ll stay.
