A quiet day round the village.

A day of good grey skies and light ESE >3 bringing heavy rain and wind increase to E>5. Strangely the heavy rain started at knocking off time again, Im never going to get the Ogden Tree Pipits at this rate.
Nothing much in the skies today other than 2 Pied Wagtails over >E and 4 BH gulls at midday >NW.
Another indication of movement starting was a report sent to me from David at Yeadon telling of a Cormorant on Yeadon Tarn today, thanks for that David.
A forecast of gales and heavy rain for the weekend which may just stir things up a bit hopefully.
According to NK via Springwatch there are a record number of Sanderling at their breeding grounds so hopefully when they move the summit of Soil Hill will be as white as snow with them.
