NOTE !!
No sightings of Roe Deer, Fox, Hare or Badger will be mentioned on this blog throughout the year and links will be removed from other blogs giving the whereabouts of these mammals due to the rising influx of poaching, long dogging and lamping by sick individuals.

Fly Flatts

2 Wheatears staying for the duration

                                  Common Sandpipers flooded out

                                        Swifts moving >S

                                    Curlews still holding territory

Fly Flatts  0700-1000hrs  Strong to gale force WNW>6-7 easing by 0900 to W>4-5  Early showers.

Despite the strong wind the sky was good with just a few breaks allowing the blue and sunshine through briefly.
Swifts were the birds of the day piling through >S whilst just 2 LBB gulls headed >W.
Common Sandpipers were still standing their ground even though all the usual nest sites were well under water. The water level is at an all time high up to the cobbled banking top and over onto the footpath in places. Even the boat jetty is part submerged which is usually high above the water.
