Soil Hill Scrapes

The scrapes on Soil Hill are in perfect fettle at the moment with mud, gravel and vegetation so as long as the water holds and they keep getting the occasional top up we can hope for waders over the next couple of months, especially as our reservoirs are overflowing and showing no shoreline so the options for birds are limited.
A quiet day over the village today until early evening when LBB gulls started drifting over >NW very slow and very high up in the grey clouds. By this time next month the wintering Common gulls should start appearing in Foxhill park and on the rugby field.
